Privacy Policy
Effective September 3, 2026 · updated September 17, 2026
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information submitted with a request to find out whether a home qualifies is used to respond to that request.
Information we collect
When you ask whether your home qualifies for a $0-down solar and battery program — a request that includes a review of your SCE bill — we may collect your first name, mobile number, homeowner status, estimated electricity bill, and the date and wording of your contact permission. We may also collect basic technical and campaign information, such as your browser, IP address, referring page, and advertising-source tags.
How we use it
We use this information to contact you about the request you made, ask questions about your home and electricity use, schedule a time to review your bill, explain the answer a program gives, prevent abuse, maintain our records, and measure which advertising brought you to the site.
Who can access it
Your information is limited to High Desert Solar Guide and SummitCited personnel who operate the website and lead desk, plus service providers needed to host, store, secure, or deliver the request. Those providers may process the information only to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the site and its users.
We do not send your information to a solar program or installer unless you ask us to make that connection. To answer your request we may ask a program whether a home like yours is in range, without identifying you.
Advertising measurement
We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and may advertise on Google. To measure which advertisement brought you here, we use the Meta pixel on this site and we may send Meta a limited set of information about a request you submit. Contact details sent for this purpose are irreversibly scrambled (hashed) before they leave our systems, so Meta receives a coded value rather than your name, number or address. We may also send the advertising click identifier that Meta itself added to the link you followed, along with your IP address and browser type.
This is done to match a request to an advertisement and to measure advertising. We do not sell your personal information to an advertising platform, and we do not send your contact details to one so that it can market other products to you.
How to opt out. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out: the page does not start the Meta pixel or send Meta any event from your browser for that visit, and if you submit a request we mark it with Meta’s Limited Data Use setting, which restricts how Meta may use it in states whose privacy laws provide for that. Your browser may still download Meta’s pixel code, which is a request to Meta’s servers. The page can only read the signal when JavaScript is on; with JavaScript turned off, a basic page-view may still be sent to Meta, though a request you submit is still marked if your browser sends the signal with it. You can also turn off advertising cookies in your browser, or email us at admin@summitcited.com and ask us to exclude your request from advertising measurement.
Do Not Sell or Share
We do not sell your personal information.
Calls and texts
If you give contact permission, High Desert Solar Guide may call or text you personally about your request to find out whether your home qualifies, which includes a review of your SCE bill. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a text to opt out, or tell us not to call.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to handle your request, maintain necessary business and consent records, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask what information we have about you or request a correction or deletion, subject to records we must keep. Email admin@summitcited.com with “High Desert Solar Guide privacy” in the subject line.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will be posted here.
